Practice starts tomorrow!!! - Monday, May 9th! 

***New this year*** There is NO meet book! All swimmers will sign up for meets on the website under the Meets tab / signup calendar. There is going to be a bit of a learning curve, since this is the first time we are using this website and format. I have opened Time Trials for swimmer signups to start.

Some additional information for Rookie and New Parents, that I sometimes forget because we have been doing this for so long.... ;) 

*Rookies and Main Team: Practice for the first few weeks is Monday - Friday at your designated times. *Time Trials (Tuesday, May 24th) is for the main team only. Rookies don't have any practice this day but please attend team pictures. 

*Time Trials are run like a regular meet to give new families an idea of what is going to happen at a meet, so it might be useful for Rookies to stay and watch some events. 

*Memorial Day Monday - no practice for either team. 

*The mornings of meets, we have practices for main team and rookies. 

*Rookies have their own meet on the dates of home meets at 4:00 pm. Please advise one of the Rookie Coaches if you will not be at your rookie meet at LEAST one day before or sign up on line. 

*The day after a meet, there are no practices. We hold a stroke clinic for a specific age group from 9-10 am and then we have fun relays and ribbons and donuts after. Rookies are welcome and encouraged for the treat but it will not be a regular practice day. 

*Last day for practices is the day of the last meet - this year Tuesday, June 28th.

*The team party (Wednesday, June 29th) is for everyone. Everyone brings an appetizer or dessert. The rookies are awarded medals and paper plates and then the main team receives their trophies and paper plates. 

MAIN TEAM: *The MEETS will have a sign up link on the website. *If you have a swimmer on the Main Team, you are expected to volunteer for 4 jobs. Some volunteer for more, but a meet can not run without everyone helping. If you have any questions about volunteer jobs you may email Susan Wentker, the volunteer coordinator at [email protected]. The website is having a training this week and after the training volunteer jobs will be available and assigned.
